Sport PhotoAt Leongatha Primary School, students participate in a wide variety of fun and engaging Physical Education activities.

At Prep-Grade 2 level, we develop student’s gross motor skills and undertake skills such as running, throwing, catching, leaping, ball bouncing, hopping and vertical jumping. Body control, balance and hand-eye co-ordination play an integral part in each class.

In Grade 3-6, students are taught the skills of mainstream games such as basketball, cricket, football, soccer, netball, hockey and softball. Students participate in the Swimming and Athletics Carnivals, Interschool Sport, Hoop Time, Cross Country and the Leongatha Football League (L.F.L.) Lunchtime competition.

Grade 5 and 6 classes are involved in SEPEP (Sport Education and Physical Education Program) which focuses on leadership, communication and provides roles and responsibilities for students in Term 2.
