Art at LPS

The Visual Arts program at Leongatha Primary School aims to cater for the artist in everyone. The program aims to provide opportunities for students to explore their creativity, build art skills, gain confidence in their own artistic ability and to take pride in their finished artwork.

The junior program focuses on helping students to improve and refine their fine-motor skills whilst being introduced to a wide range of art materials. Students are taught basic art skills which are then implemented in a variety of engaging activities.

In the senior program, students are encouraged to implement their prior-knowledge of art skills to create wonderful pieces of art. Students are also introduced to and inspired by an array of well-known artists from around the world.
